The Kaiso Forum Calypso Tent was founded in 2002. The primary function was to set an arena for Canadian Calypso and Soca artistes to showcase their musical talents. The tent is now based at the CAW Hall at 30 Tangiers Rd North York On. It is the home to 4 Calypso Monarchs and 2 Soca Monarchs.

Structure
Bryan Thornhill
Structure entered the Calypso Arena in the 1980's with the social commentary "Product of the Classroom". Since then he has been a regular in the yearly Pic O De Crop competitions in his native Barbados, where he developed his unique style of incorporating subtlety and humor into his art form. After immigrating to Canada in 1999 he took a three year hiatus from the art form. In 2002 he entered the OCPA sponsored Kaiso Monarch competition, where he placed 1st runner up.
Structure is currently the reigning monarch capturing this title in 2003 , 2004 and 2005 along with 10 of the 11 remaining categories, including the most coveted People's Choice Award.
The founder/manager of the Kaiso Forum Calypso Tent, is also actively involved in play writing and hopes to produce a full length play in Toronto quite soon. An avid sports fan, Structure also has a deep passion for Cricket and Dominoes.
Structure has held the position of Vice President of The Organization of Calypso Performing Artistes for two years and is a member of the Caribbean Cultural Committee, and sees himself as an advocate for this indigenous art form and pledges his continued support so see it grow from strength to strength until it attains the the recognition it so rightly deserves.
